DESCRIPTION:Now in its fourth year\, eXperience is more than a successful annual conference\, it is a movement of young professionals coming together to define the future of the Roanoke and New River Valleys of Virginia. While inspiring dialogue\, connecting like-minded people and promoting the region\, eXperience helps empower the future generation of business leaders\, strengthening our communities economically and socially.\n\n \n\nThe 4th Annual eXperience Conference will kick-off on Thursday\, May 3 with an informal social event at Ballast Point Brewery in Daleville\, VA.  Meet and mingle with other conference attendees and enjoy the beautiful vistas of Botetourt County at one of the region?s newest\, energetic breweries.  During this informal event eXperience will be teaming up with the Botetourt County YPs as they launch a new chapter for young professionals.\n\n \n\nThe full-day conference will begin on Friday\, May 4 at Jefferson Center in downtown Roanoke\, VA.  Join us for an exciting day of professional and personal development programming\, authentic networking and hands-on learning workshops lead by national speakers.  Registration also includes a food truck lunch and full access to the post-event social to start the weekend off right!    \n\n \n\nAre you ready to define your future? It includes a successful annual conference\, quarterly eXpand program and strong social media community dedicated to growing our region.\n\n \n\nWe're here to address one of our region?s most confounding problems: Our region is aging. Nearly 40\,000 workers in the Roanoke labor market are 55 or older. That?s 25 percent of the regional labor force\, up from 18 percent in 2005\, on the verge of retirement.\n\n \n\nWithout new people\, talent\, ideas and investment\, our region will shrink and businesses will fold.\n\n \n\nBut by bringing together industry and government leaders\, speakers and visionaries\, eXperience helps young professionals realize what our region has to offer ? jobs\, quality of life\, arts and culture\, and affordable living. It gives them the confidence to take on leadership roles at work and in the community and contribute to the direction of their organization and our region.
