Women of the Chamber Luncheon Series
Is your plate piled high with deadlines and obligations? Are you trying to cram too many activities in to too little time? If so, stress relief can be as straightforward as just saying “no.”
Saying “no” is all about filtering out the non-essentials so you have more time and energy to focus on the important stuff that matters to you. This enables you to excel and be the best at what you are doing.
Join us for lunch and a discussion on how and when to say “no” with Keller Williams Realtor Cheryl Smith. The Women of the Chamber Luncheon will be held on Tuesday, May 15, 2018, in the Wortmann Ballroom at Roanoke College.
Cheryl Smith
Cheryl is a marketing professional with an extensive background in both corporate and non profit/ministry related work. She received her IOM designation from the US Chamber of Commerce while working as vice president, membership & marketing at the then Lynchburg Regional Chamber of Commerce (now the Lynchburg Business Alliance).
Cheryl is a firm believer in the roles that self-awareness and identity play in uncovering purpose and passion. In recent years, she has learned to embrace OIKOS – the Greek word for home, family, hospitality, and faith. As a result, Cheryl is now a Realtor serving Lynchburg and Central Virginia. She adds, “I consider it a true honor to be invited into someone’s home!”
For nearly a decade, Cheryl was a single mom of two small children before meeting her now husband, Peter, in the Pittsburgh Airport. (It’s a great story!) A year after they married, they had four children in three schools. Today, the empty nest is almost in sight! Cheryl is a writer who loves spending time in Virginia’s vineyards. When you have a chance, ask her about vision boards.
