About Us

With 150 members, we are the Roanoke area's largest and most active civic organization, and one of the largest of the 15,000+ Kiwanis Clubs in the world. Networking is an important element for our civically-engaged Club members. Our membership includes city and state government leaders, corporate leaders, nonprofit leaders, church leaders, civic-minded residents, the 2021 Roanoke City Citizen of the Year, and the 2023 Roanoke City Citizen of the Year. Strong connections and friendships occur here. We have awarded over $1M in grants to deserving local organizations during the past decade. We recently built and donated a playground to the City of Roanoke and are currently building, and will donate to the City, a Nature Park; they are co-located in the Melrose neighborhood. Members appreciate the high-caliber local speakers at our weekly meetings; guests are welcomed and a complementary buffet lunch is included.

Organizations and individuals choose membership in our Kiwanis Club because of the alignment with our focus on children, older adults, and the environment. We offer a corporate membership option as well as individual membership options.
