Bank of the James has announced the opening of its second office in Roanoke at 2101 Electric Road. The new Oak Grove office will be open Monday thru Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and on Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. This office will offer full-service banking to both personal and business customers and will include safe deposit boxes and a drive-thru.
Bradford K. Harris, Regional Market President for Bank of the James commented, “When we opened our first office in February 2017, the reception from the community was amazing. Our enhanced presence in the Roanoke Valley with our second location will help serve our existing customers and new clients. Recently there has been a great deal of consolidation in our area of community banks to larger financial institutions. This has created a void that needs to be filled, and we look forward to helping our current and future customers find value in community banking relationship.”
Desiree Kalafut, AVP and Branch Manager will be the Manager of both Roanoke Offices. Serving as Financial Service Representatives at the Oak Grove Office are Laurie Isaacs and Adam Thacker. Mitch Scott, Mortgage Loan Officer will also be located at this new location.
“Roanoke continues to be a welcoming market for us”, continued Harris. “As a community-focused financial institution, we believe our values and relationship-based banking philosophy meet the banking needs of individuals and businesses. We look forward to supporting the commercial and small business enterprises, as well as growing families that call the Roanoke Valley home.”
The bank currently has an office located at 3562 Electric Road in Roanoke.
The bank plans to hold a Ribbon Cutting on Thursday, July 25, 2019 at 4:00 pm in conjunction with the Roanoke Regional Chamber of Chamber. To learn more about Bank of the James, visit www.bankofhejames.bank.
