Virginia Tech Roanoke Center Hosting Toolkit for 21st Century Leaders

This program offers leaders comprehensive training focused on developing skills necessary for navigating 21st century challenges and opportunities. Participants attend class once a month from August 2018 to March 2019 and participate in four, one-on-one coaching sessions.

What you'll get:
- seven courses geared toward developing the critical skillsets necessary for contemporary leaders
- professional EQ-i assessment
- four one-on-one sessions with a professional coach
- 4.0 CEUs (continuing education units) from Virginia Tech upon successful completion of the course and final report/project

The courses are:
- Orientation and Creating an Inclusive Workplace (Aug. 24, 11 a.m.-4:30 p.m.)
- Adaptive Leadership (Sept. 28, 9 a.m.-4 p.m.)
- Making Smart Decisions in the Digital Age (Oct. 19, 9 a.m.-4 p.m.)
- Language for Leaders (Nov. 16, 9 a.m.-4 p.m.)
- Emotional Intelligence - with assessment (Jan. 18, 9 a.m.-4 p.m.)
- Ethical Leadership (Feb. 8, 9 a.m.-4 p.m.)
- Design Thinking (Mar. 15, 9 a.m.-4 p.m.)

In addition, you will have four, one-on-one professional coaching sessions spaced throughout the certificate program. These coaching sessions will customize your professional development to attain your specific goals. Professional coaching is key to leveraging your leadership learning. Coaches are ICF (International Coach Federation) certified and work in partnership with you to provide structure, guidance and support.

On March 29, there will be a Capstone Lunch and Presentation from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The cost of the certificate program is $2,549, which includes instruction, coaching, materials, lunches, refreshments and the CEUs. All classes are held at the Virginia Tech Roanoke Center, located on the 7th floor of the Roanoke Higher Education Center.
